Limestone Creations

Films rooted in real places, made with the people who love them.

The idea

A movie can move people to a place

When Sideways came out, people went looking for the wine country it was set in. Sales of the wine it celebrated rose. A good story about a real place sends its audience there.

Limestone Creations builds films that way on purpose. We make movies with the places they are about, then bring them to the audiences who already gather there.

How we work

Place first

  • RootedStories written on location, with the people who live and work there.
  • PartneredMade alongside the places and makers on screen, so the film belongs to them too.
  • EventizedScreened where audiences already gather: tasting rooms, racetracks, festivals and theaters.

Cameras roll April 2027 · Derby Week 2028 premiere

Our first feature is set along Kentucky's Bourbon Trail and at the racetrack. It is the proof of the idea: a film made for Kentucky, released in Kentucky first.
